    Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

    review the sustainable fish guide before shopping for fish.  When at the market ask for information on where and how the seafood is raised and harvested.

    By supporting local farmers and making it viable for lands to stay in agriculture we have access to local fresh foods. I do some wild harvesting of edible plants seasonally such as berries and mushrooms. These foods would cost a lot more if I had to buy them in the store.
